This one-of-a-kind stained glass lamp was born from a heartfelt collaboration with a returning customer—a son whose dragonfly gift brought unexpected delight to his elderly mother. Moved by her joy, he came back to commission something even more special: a larger, more intricate piece that could light up her space with both colour and care.

Designed with her needs in mind, the lamp turns on and off with a simple touch—anywhere on the shade or base—making it easy and safe for aging hands. The base is solid and stable, ensuring it won’t tip over, even with everyday use.

Her favourite colour is deep blue, so I created the lily bloom in layered shades of indigo and violet, chosen to softly glow and cast gentle light when lit. When the lamp is on, it fills the room with a calming wash of purple-blue—like dusk settling over a quiet pond.

This piece stands 12 inches tall and measures 29 inches from the base to the tip of the petals—a functional work of art, made to honour someone deeply loved.
