This beautiful entirely handmade light aqua, dark blue glass sailboat features extremely rare light aqua and dark blue glass sails.  They are made using the copper foil method and lead came for the deck and mast. It is a scale model taken from several different boats, and detail has been added using copper wire. I have cut and soldered a steering wheel/helm, boom, strut, cables, ties, rope coils, portholes for the cabin, and hatches.

The boat makes a wonderful gift for your loved one, or for anyone dreaming of sailing into a new life, or celebrating a well-earned retirement.  This boat was originally made for a young woman’s gift to her father on his birthday.  She said it was like her father’s real boat, which he had given up and really missed now.

Dimensions

The boat is about 10″ tall, by 7″ long, by 4″ wide.

Customization of light aqua dark blue glass sailboat

Simple customization which requires any design changes comes with a minimum $10.00 additional charge. A simple customization is the addition of a name or numbers, a rudder, adding a two colour hull, an unusual colour of sail.  This model can be customized with the name of the recipient, or a number of words and dates on the hull.  The spinnaker is also a great place for a custom set of numbers for the boat.  Changes in the design such as style of sail, deck, cabin and hull or change in the size of the boat start at $100.00.

This particular piece can be made to order using any colour glass on hand for no additional charge or check out my other boats for something in a different model. I make trawlers, yachts, sloops and tugboats. I have also made really large schooners by special order.

Shipping

Each of my pieces is made by hand, with loving attention to detail, then packed with care and shipped as soon as possible. However, handmade process is slower than machine, and can take anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks to complete. Please let me know if this is a gift or needs to arrive at a specific date, so that I can make it faster, and ship it sooner. Unless a shipping upgrade is requested, the boat will ship Standard Mail, which is 6 to 10 business days.
