Rare Purple Red Glass Butterfly

This gorgeous butterfly has been crafted using the copper foil method, and lead free silver solder. I chose pink stained glass for the wings then used decorative soldering techniques and silvered wire to add details like eyes, antennae, and the body segments.

This beauty can be hung like a mobile from a fan so little children can enjoy it as well as adults, or hung in a window to show off the beautiful colour in the wings. More than one can be hung from wire and a bar upon request, and made into a mobile.

The butterfly has tiny legs to allow it to cling to a twig, the side of a pot, or to be hung in a window. It can stand on a table as well to shed beautiful rainbows of light, or on an altar as a remembrance of a loved ones’ passing.
